To commemorate one of India’s most widely celebrated holidays, Indri selects four single casks annually. Not a single cask of course, but a more manageable sample. Each of the four single casks are for a different region:

The nose opens with a wisp of bonfire smoke and a touch of good rubber before transitioning to softer notes of vanilla custard, macadamia nuts, embers, and peanut shells, with hints of raisins, grilled pineapple, and peaches, occasionally earthy. The palate reveals more pronounced peat than expected, alongside cinnamon, dates, brown sugar, smoked plums, and black cherries, complemented by a saline touch, crème caramel, toffee, prosciutto di Parma, and damp, charred oak. The finish is medium in length, lingering with gentle wood smoke and a jammy, fruity sweetness.
