From a little island off the northern coast of Scotland comes this hybrid Highland-Islay style. There's all the butterscotch, heather, toasted almond one would expect from a Highland, not to mention, a good amount is sherried like a Speyside, but then there's a peaty, sea salt layer on top of it all, though nowhere nearly as peated as most Islay. Beautifully balanced between the barley, spice, and peat components.
